Please join us for a Congressional Roundtable luncheon event with Congressman Stephen Lynch and Lisa Wieland on Monday, March 25th, 2019 at the Harpoon Brewery Beer Hall in South Boston from 11:45am-1:45pm. This Roundtable discussion will include many critical trade and transportation topics. 


Congress and the President have staked out ambitious agendas, impacting all residents of New England especially those engaged in international trade & transportation.

  • What will happen with tariffs -- the US-China Tariffs and tariffs against steel imports?
  • Will Congress pass the new NAFTA?
  • Will the US engage in Venezuela?
  • Is our healthcare system about to be overhauled – again?
  • What about the proposed “green energy and society” initiative?

Congressman Lynch was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2001. He represents the state's 8th district, which includes the Cities of Boston, Brockton and Quincy and 21 towns in Southeastern Massachusetts.  Prior to serving in Congress, Lynch was a president of the Iron Workers Union, and he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and the Massachusetts State Senate.  Congressman Lynch attended Wentworth Institute of Technology on nights and weekends, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, and later received a law degree from Boston College Law School and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Lisa S. Wieland has served in the Port Director role at Massport since March of 2015. In her current role, and previously as Maritime’s Chief Administrative Officer, she leads all financial management, business planning, strategic initiatives, process improvement, special projects, and the day-to-day management of the Maritime division. Before joining the Maritime Team, Lisa served in several roles at Massport, including the Director of Corporate Planning and Analysis and the Director of HR Strategy & Employment.  Prior to her employment with Massport, Lisa worked as a Consultant for Bain & Company serving health care and consumer products clients, and previous to that, for CNN in various news and political assignments. Lisa received her BA Degree from UCLA in Political Science, and her MBA from the Harvard Business School.
