Peter Friedmann, CONECT Counsel,
As Counsel in the United States Senate, he drafted significant international transportation and revenue laws, which guide and regulate U.S. international commerce. Today, the diverse interests he represents in Washington, DC include universally recognized consumer brand name companies manufacturing globally, as well as port authorities, tech companies, transit agencies, etc. He has established and/or counsels regional and national trade associations including the Pacific Coast Council of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders, the Coalition of New England Companies for Trade (CONECT) and the Agriculture Transportation Coalition. Peter is a frequent speaker on international trade generally, and the TransPacific, China and the Mexico-US trade relationship particularly; he speaks on how Capitol Hill and Federal agencies can be made to work for those seeking to grow business, trade and provide local infrastructure. He is cited in publications, such as the NY Times, WSJ, Yahoo Finance, Journal of Commerce, Bloomberg, Freightwaves, to name a few.
