Our Mission

CONECT’s mission is to educate the New England and Northeast region's business community, as well as local, state, and federal government representatives as to the benefits and importance of free and fair trade to our region.

Our Purpose

CONECT provides educational and networking opportunities to keep its members well informed. CONECT serves as a unified and highly effective voice to enhance the trade and transportation infrastructure for the trade.

History

The Coalition of New England Companies for Trade (CONECT), a non-profit, member-based business association for companies involved in international trade and/or transportation. Incorporated in 1991, CONECT now serves over 1,200 members representing over 250 U.S. companies and organizations, including major importers, exporters, and related service providers. The association serves the interests of New England and Northeast region businesses that depend on international trade.

CONECT is comprised of importers, exporters, customs brokers, freight forwarders, truckers, port authorities, NVOCCs, intermodal carriers, logistics providers, banks, law firms, cargo facilities, consultants, and others active in international trade.
