Cybersecurity Training Series Session 1: Ransomware Webinar January 30, 2024 Ransomware is a major pocketbook issue that impacts businesses and people all around the globe each year. In this informational webinar, you’ll gain a better understanding of ransomware attacks including its ever-evolving tactics and trends. We will look at different ways to prevent ransomware attacks on your organization, how to respond if attacked, and discuss the misconceptions about cyber insurance and its coverage. We will also explore a recent ransomware attack and demonstrate what happened, why it happened, and what steps can be taken to prevent ransomware. Linn Freedman's bio: Linn Freedman is a graduate of Newcomb College of Tulane University (B.A. – American Studies with honors) and Loyola University School of Law (J.D.) Linn is a partner of Robinson + Cole specializing in data privacy and security law, complex litigation, and artificial intelligence. She chairs its Data Privacy + Cybersecurity team. Linn is an Adjunct Professor at Roger Williams University School of Law and a previous Adjunct Professor at Brown University.
