Member rate: $29 Non-member rate: $39 Please join us for a Congressional Roundtable luncheon event with Congressman Stephen Lynch on Thursday, January 23rd at the new Harpoon Brewery Beer Hall in South Boston from 11:45am-1:30pm. This roundtable discussion will include many critical trade and transportation topics. Congress has a lot on its plate this year - important trade preference programs must be renewed and major water resources and surface transportation legislation must be completed. Also this year, negotiations over the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) are expected to wrap up, just as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) discussions go into full swing. This roundtable will be a great opportunity to talk with Congressman Lynch about ways to improve U.S. trade and transportation policy and increase our region's competiveness and create jobs in and around Massachusetts. Congressman Lynch was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2001. He represents the state's 8th district, which includes the Cities of Boston, Brockton and Quincy and 21 towns in Southeastern Massachusetts. Prior to serving in Congress, Lynch was a president of the Iron Workers Union, and he served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and the Massachusetts State Senate. Congressman Lynch attended Wentworth Institute of Technology on nights and weekends, earning a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, and later received a law degree from Boston College Law School and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
